K-JAM Concerts

February 23rd, 2013:   5 So-Cal bands join forces to raise awareness of distracted driving at KJAM concert series at Mission Viejo, CA’s Kaleidoscope Center

Mission Viejo, Ca. January 23, 2013.
Five of Orange County’s most rocking, crowd-pleasing bands are stepping up to perform at the second Text Kills® K-Jam Concert: Wild Hearts.  The show is in Suite 201 at Kaleidoscope, off Crown Valley Parkway in Mission Viejo.  Text Kills® has a proven record in community outreach and safety awareness, and is dedicated to educating about the deadly issue of distracted driving.  The Text Kills® Tour Bus traverses the country, collecting signatures on its sides from people pledging not to text and drive. KJAM Wild Hearts will be sure to continue in this tradition of educational entertainment, and the collaboration of top local teen talent with community leader Text Kills®  is sure to draw a much deserved media frenzy.

The Lineup:
Crown Valley Parkway (Laguna Niguel), Juice Box Bandits (Fullerton), False Puppet (Santa Barbara), Ugly Paint (Laguna Niguel), and Later Days (Los Angeles) are sure to rock the 24,000+ square feet venue with their sets of indie rock and punk melodies.

Text Kills® Founder Wayne Irving will also be on hand for the evening’s festivities to connect with the community youth in his mission to spread awareness. “The KJAM Wild Hearts Concert promises to be a great local outreach effort,” said Mr. Irving, “representing local musicians’ stewardship in supporting important causes.  We love to support up-and-coming talents, especially when they are passionate about more than just playing music.  You have to stand for something; Standing up against texting and driving could save lives, and these kids understand that message.”
